Not coming home

Abi is in France on a school trip so in theory it was going to be just me and Dan, this evening. However, over the last couple of weeks, he has really got into the World Cup. I'm not sure he's becoming a football fan as such - although maybe it's too early to tell - but he's been happily swept up by the mood and euphoria. 

So, while he enjoyed this evening's match against Croatia, I took myself and my book down to Avanti for yet another pleasant evening in their garden, enjoying a pint and a read until Dan joined me when the match finished. He wasn't too dismayed by the result, just disappointed that the fun was over.
