Hanbury Hall and Gardens
I met my friend John at Hanbury Hall, the National Trust property near Droitwich. We had lunch and a good chat in their cafe before taking a walk around the gardens and visiting the bookshop. We also popped into the Long Gallery where the artist Takumasa Ono was in residence showing his work for the National Trust.
The plan was to visit the house but what with garden wandering and afternoon tea we didn't actually make it into the house, the front of which is currently covered in scaffolding.
The picture is of the orangery, a must for all stately homes of the period. This one was empty save for a statue at one end, a a dog paw print in one of the ceramic tiles on the floor, which took some finding!
