Scenic Walk

The sun graced us with it's presence once again today so we made the most of it. A drive off Valentia to visit the 'Skelligs Chocolate Factory' for tasty treats. There I read a few signs that made me laugh.
1. When life gives you lemons, throw them back and ask for chocolate!
2. Unattended kids will be given an espresso and free puppy!
We then took a walk up Bolus Head - where my photo is from. A beautifully scenic walk that granted views back across to Balinskelligs and Waterville. Rustic and rural there were many ruins in the cliff top fields. A few of the homes have been refurbished and are now rented out to artists who have to repay their rent by leaving a piece of artwork to be sold in a local gallery (one of the crofts is included in the extras).
After this we took a refreshing swim back at Balinskelligs. A delightful day indeed!
