PRIDE

Fitness Class this afternoon.  Glad to be back after missing it last week due to having that bleeding hand. 

I managed to get my Mono Monday blip shot there too.  I chose PRIDE from the list of challenge options . This is my instructor Emma.  And she is a proud Mam today.  Her son has won an award for being the most improved pupil over the time he has been at his school - Emmanuel College.  The big presentation night is at The Sage, Gateshead this evening.  Emma will be even prouder when she sees Josh on stage accepting his award.  In my photo she is holding up her phone and showing a photo of herself and Josh taken on his prom night.  The actual award Josh has won  is special to Emma as its the Derek Tams award.  Derek Tams was a boy Emma went to school with.  At the age of 16 he was on a trekking trip to India with other classmates when he collapsed and died of an asthma attack.  Thanks to si_b for hosting the Mono Monday challenge.

This evening I went to Slimming Class. Needed to lose one pound to get back into my target range.  I lost half a pound!.

We had a new consultant this evening. Since our last one Ailsa left a few weeks ago Andy has been filling in.  He has been great and he wanted to take over permanently.  But it wasn't to be.  He already has another group and he is only allowed to have two groups if his first group has a minimum number of members - and he doesn't quite have the required number. So now we have Gemma - a brand new consultant.  She has just completed her training and we are her very first group.  She actually used to be a member at this group a few years ago and I remember her from then. She has been delivering leaflets all over the village and putting posters up to advertise her new group and we did get a lot of new members this evening.  Gemma did very well for her first time.

It rained today.  And I was glad.  The garden really needed rain.  It was still warm so it was rather a muggy day - and the rain didn't last long.
