Meeting Up.

Wonderful to meet my cousin Alex for the first time. Her mother was my dad's sister'( one of three) who went to Canada with her  daughter Alex at the start of WW2. and lost touch with the family. Now, thanks to Ancestry.com, Alex's daughter and my niece had DNA tests and they were put in touch with each other. Now I have cousins in Switzerland, Germany, Canada and the U.S.A.  that I never knew existed. The younger 2nd cousins are all communicating on Facebook and in August more are coming to visit us and other family here in the UK. My son and his wife who is a blipper, Dollydevonmix were here with me for the weekend  and kept us supplied with cold drinks, while myself, brother's widow and Alex exchanged family anecdotes and looked at photos. Later my grandson and family called in too. I had previously prepared a cold lunch and there was plenty for everyone.  I'm quite behind with my journal  but hope to catch up a bit later when I can.
