Little leopard
Curling bracken fronds
turn bronze in the drought. Orange,
a comma arrives.
It's hard to find camouflage when you're bright orange, but the dry tips of bracken fronds are doing their best to help. Another short walk down the nearby green lane, made longer by stopping to watch the wildlife.
After bright sunshine early on, the sky turned black for about three hours. Apparently it rained in Totnes, about 10 miles away, but not a drop here! Can't believe that despite the forecast and despite the dark clouds, we still have had NO RAIN!
