Shoes at Nijmegen

The object on this photo is a tribute to the 47.431 people from many countries around the world who registered to walk at and around Nijmegen 30, 40 or 50 km each day, four days in a row, this week from Tuesday to Friday. It is not a race, people walk at their own speed for fun. It is an annual event and one year ago only 8,63% of the starters did not finish.
