Goldfinch

These birds are quite regular visitors to the niger seeds that we have put out in the garden, they are really colourful with a bright yellow bar on their wings on a red patch on their faces.
I have nearly got back into some kind of routine after having two holidays in such a short time - although it seems that Christmas is only just round the corner and things at work are really busy with end of year reviews to sort out.
