Enforced silence
At the Market, an official has just rung a bell for Remembrance silence and is counting off the 2 minutes on her mobile. The bell magically stopped everyone in their tracks (except for small kids) and a compliant silence reigned. Except that I object strongly to being taken hostage. I want to do my Remembrance the way I choose to do it and not be forced to do it on command. Simple solution, Market directors! (you are, I checked, the authors of this brilliant policy): advertise the 2 minute's silence at the entrance. That way people freely choose to go in and go along with the ritual, or not.
