Remembrance Sunday
Every one a hero.
Remembrance Sunday is always held on the second Sunday in November. 11 November is Armistice Day, the anniversary of the end of hostilities in the First World War at 11am in 1918.
I'm in the centre of Edinburgh and the canon was fired at 11am. I stopped for a minutes silence to commemorate those who died in every war, to give us the freedoms we take for granted. It's a shame that the majority of other shoppers on Princes Street didn't do the same.
This is a shot of the Remembrance garden in Princes Street Gardens. A very touching sight.
