London - Cambridge - London
After Friday night's concert at Wembley, we stayed in London. Nice to have the luxury of no drive/train ride home.
Annie set her alarm early to be able to see the time 07:08:09 and date 10/11/12. Then back to snooze more.
We ordered a decadent breakfast to be delivered to our room for 9am but the hotel lost our order so instead we had a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant as their apology. Not quite the start to the day we had planned (but it was free so we filled up)!
We set off to Cambridge and after a major diversion to avoid a closed section of the A505 and an interesting sat nav guided diversion, we met up with Annie's step mum (Anne) and enjoyed a matinee visit to the Cambridge Arts Theatre to see 'Good Grief' with Penelope Keith. Cambridge was a picture (it always is) with lovely autumn tones in the trees and underfoot. The blip was one such example at Kings College Chapel.
A nice meal in Cambridge then a quick change into fancy dress (Robin Hood and Maid Marion, no photos thankfully) and we were off back up the M11 into London for a party with one of Annie's fellow OU psychology students Lizzie, both celebrating having recently finished their studies. A great party full of interesting people and some great outfits!
Home at 1.30pm, zzzzz!
