New girls
I was awoken this morning by quite a racket coming from the hens, who had been let out earlier by Rob. I rushed out to see what was up, and all four of the youngsters were standing to attention, squawking and staring at - Tigger, Andrew's cat!
Poor things have never been outside before let alone seen something so terrifying as a kitty!
I shooed him away and they gradually settled down. They have had a lovely day apart from that, sunning themselves and dust bathing. The two old hens are being good with them, no fighting.
We have two new marrans, and two TuftyBEL They seem fairly chilled given the shock of moving home and I will extend their freedom in another couple of days. One of them has started developing a red comb, so an egg may soon be on the way!
