Maisie and the Waterlily

Today's the day ……………………….. to hate with a passion

Maisie the Cairn Terrier, who has featured here on more than one occasion, has a deep and very real hatred of - waterlilies.

It came quite suddenly out of the blue and no one is quite sure why or how.  A theory has been put forward that it all began when a frog jumped out of one and gave her a fright - but this is pure speculation.  The fact remains that she is on a mission to rid the world of them - which could take a while because they are, for the most part, completely out of her reach. 

This is why the main force of her attack is to bark and growl them to death.  If it wasn't for the fact that she puts such serious passion and energy into her endeavours - it really would be very amusing.  She wears herself out and the lilies just float there looking beautifully smug.
