Old Fruitmarket

What a great venue; I haven't been here for a few years. Tonight was the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland. Not normally my thing, but a friend's son was playing. It was a great night, and not what I expected at all. I don't know what it says about me, but (whisper it) the piping was my least favourite part. The drumming was fantastic, I didn't expect the light show, video wall or backing band with electric guitars and keyboards. The Taiko Drummers were particularly good.

I did learn that left handed pipers hold their pipes on the opposite side from the others.
