The options required to get to speak to someone at Virgin Media to find out why I've had no emails today. As I'm sat on hold, with an escalated ticket, the emails magically start arriving, albeit slowly and in patches. 

A bit of World Cup earlier and a rather good piece of Earl Grey fruit cake from the enterprising kids down the road who were having a cake sale.

Oh, yeah, and The Pavé. I suppose the organisers got what they wanted - plenty of incident - but it seems a bit unnecessary in a three week stage race to create such carnage so early on when there's still the alps and whatever else to come.
