An American friend

We sat beside a couple from New York and Amelie and Sophia and their daughter Caitlin quickly became ‘besties’. So much so that we left Raymond and the girls to have pizza for lunch with them while Laura and I brought the boy home for a nap! Lots of people from USA here this year due to the good exchange rate. Our friends thought it hilarious that in Europe people wouldn’t drive more than 3 hours to get anywhere whereas in the States they thought nothing of long drives. Raymond will be home for 4 p.m. to watch the football final and our job is to make sure there is enough beer and wine.

Extras: The oldest and youngest members of the party had their own treats - gin /tonic and Nutella with breadsticks, respectively!
