Beauty is all around us.

Mary and Martha, sheep and Busy Lizzies.

It is lovely to have so many happy holiday memories of sunny carefree days, in warm blue skied weather. I am concerned by how low in water level all the lakes are looking. The long term implications for the animals and the crops, and all of us, could be very serious indeed.

The stained glass window of Mary and Martha is in a small, poorly lit church in Buttermere, above the altar. I took the photo without realising who it was of because the church was quite dark,  and so it was a lovely surprise when I downloaded it. The church is St. John the Baptist.
There is also a lovely view of Haystacks, beloved of Alfred Wainwright, the author who is famous for his meticulous drawings of Lakeland paths.

The sheep were gentle characters we encountered along the way. Some of them wander all over the road, so great care is needed when driving.

The Busy Lizzies survived our week away, thanks to my kind neighbour watering them. Her own garden is very colourful and a delight to live next door to all the geraniums, and petunias.

I got up early to do the ironing before it got too warm.
Then I went to the Christian Fellowship.
The theme was about the prayer of faithful believers, and to always ask God if you need help at any stage of your life. Pray for the government to make wise decisions. Pray for your own needs and for discernment.. Pray for more faith when you may not receive the answers you thought were right for you. Pray hoping to see the Spirit move and perform miracles we can not do. That is exciting. The nations  prayed for the 13 stuck in the cave, and thankfully all were rescued.
I am going to watch the World Cup final, hoping to see an enjoyable match.
Have a lovely day blip friends.
