Up, up and away!

As I joint birthday present, I organised a balloon flight for us. It was first booked for June 21st, but it was too windy. Between then and now, everyday has been a beautiful blue sky day ... not today!

It was still a good experience though, even if landing was a bit bumpy!

Whilst waiting for the transport back to our cars, we helped fold the balloon up somthat when the support cars arrived, we were able to get the balloon in its bag and the basket on the trailer behind it pretty quickly.

We went up at 6am, so we’re down again a bit after 7. We got back to Uttoxeter about 9, so had a second breakfast in a coffee shop we like there.

Sav dropped me off at Helen’s house on the way by so I could have a cup of tea with her and the dogs. Bonnie is really growing fast now, but nodded off whilst I was there ( see the extra ). Edit - now added the extra that I forgot to do when I posted this last night!

Walked home, but needed a wee en route, so called in at the plant nursery ... spent a penny and several minutes making fun of one of the staff there who was heartbroken that England had lost the semi-finals game the night before. “ It’s only a game “, “ real men play rugby “ ... he’ll be getting his own back come the rugby season!
