In charge

....or is he? We had to take the cows to our furtherest away paddock after milking this morning, and as you can imagine, the cows were spread out from here to Timbuktu. We waited in this paddock for all the cows to arrive, before proceeding on down the alleyway to their paddock.

Al, our Border Collie, was meant to be in charge of rounding the cows up. However, he just plonked himself down, goodness knows why, and the cows (being as inquisitive as they are), come over, lined up in front of him, and started sniffing him. He just sat there looking until we opened the gate for the cows to proceed on. I think Al was actually scared of them, but why he didn't just run away from them, I will never know.

It is a wet day here, although we aren't complaining. We need rain every 6 or 7 days to keep the grass growing.
