Putting the Garden to Bed with Help
As I was dumping a huge bag of dry leaves into the raised bed and covering two pots of tulip bulbs to overwinter there, my garden helper (Gracie Twinkle-toes) who never misses an opportunity to dig in and help, as well as get into the camera frame, got her foot onto one tulip pot before it was covered in leaves.
As I only have one blip per day I will not be able to show the huge plastic bags of leaves that I picked up at the curb of a house in the next town. The people t=rake their leaves, bag them, and wait for the town truck to take them away to the landfill or a recycling kind of dump. For me they are natural gold which is building the soil in my garden every year as I collect as many as 15 of these sacks. One person's trash is another's____(fill in the blank.)
