I saw Doggy licking Santa Claus....

I am breaking my own rule about anything Christmasy before December 10. Here it is November 10 and I'm posting a Santa!!?? But I couldn't resist this event at our local variety store -- Santa Paws, sponsored by the Humane Society. For 20 bucks, you can have your pets photographed with Santa. The money goes to the Humane Society, which is a very worthy claws cause.

I watched a half dozen families bring their dogs for a visit with Santa. Kept wondering if he'd get bit or scratched or peed on - though it might be a better gig than holding kids. He was a good Santa - the beard is authentic. The little black dog was so not into it, but the Pyrenees was quite mellow (except his big tail knocked down some of the decorations).

No, I didn't take Liza. It's bad enough I just bought her a reindeer sweater (complete with antlers).

OK, I promise, no more red and green and ho ho ho until December 10.
