Floral tribute

After a meeting with SCRA and the Scottish Legal Aid Board I found myself at the foot of the Mound by the Floral Clock.

I was not aware that this year it was marking 100 years of the RAF. As ever it was being photographed by many tourists.

At a time when geo-political tensions seem to be creating barriers betweeen nations, it was salutory to be reminded of what had to be done to protect peace and democracy in the world.
