Awash in Roses
Drove to Fillmore today to pick out a knockout rose to plant by our walkway. We selected the knockout peach, which I think will go well with the knockout yellow roses we currently have. The knockouts are so great since they require little maintenance, bloom prolifically, and are quite drought and disease tolerant. This photo was at Amos and Sons nursery where we purchased the rose bush. They may have one of the largest collections of roses available that I have seen - are very knowledgeable and nice. The drive to Fillmore is also quite interesting, although at this time of year it is mostly brown on the mountainsides, except where plantings are watered for grapes, oranges and avocados.
