Thistle Down

By Ethel

Eyes

Who is looking at me,
As I pass by.
For I feel there's a presence,
That gives me the eye.

A stir...a motion,
The ripple of grass.
The ant, and the fly,
Are aware that I pass.

The glance of a neighbor,
Or a child at his play.
All see my actions,
As I go on my way.

Heaven has vision,
And the power of sight.
Figuring out my intentions,
The wrong...and the right.

Yes...eyes are upon me,
In what ever I engage.
God is my prompter,
And the world is my stage.
