Candied Peel?

LARGER PEEL

Today I took a walk along the edge of the opposite field - though not a public right of way, I've known the owners well for many years, and they're quite happy for locals to use the edges for walking. The stream beside my paddock runs under the road and between that field and an adjoining small tree enclosed parcel of land. Along there I spotted this beautiful little bracket fungus on a decaying section of fallen tree. It reminded me of candied orange peel (doubt it would taste so good though, lol).

Tonight was a lovely sunset so I took some shots. Unfortunately the new glitzy release of Photobucket has slideshows disabled (pish!). So here are those shots:
