Poignant
RHS Rosemoor were having a late afternoon/evening opening today with dinner being served in their cafe if required. Pre booking essential! There was a spanish guitarist playing - lovely to hear as we walked around.
Terrifo and I enjoyed a wander around the main gardens in the lovely evening light....still bright and contrasty and the wind was playing up too. We came across a poignant corner with these ceramic poppies and a sculpture to commemorate the those lost in WW1. It is a beautifully made sculpture and stands proud among the poppies in the very dry grasses. No rain here for well over a month and the gardens are struggling!
