Mrs W’s New Toy
Mrs W’s lightweight .22 air rifle, which we bought for her some fourteen years ago because she could not handle the larger .177, had now, itself, become much to heavy compliments her RA. Also she was having trouble breaking the barrel to load it.
She was getting on very well with our very light Crossman 2250 XL, so we made a decision to upgrade to a PCP air rifle, and perhaps trade in both the break barrel rifles at the same time. Our local gun shop was getting in a couple of Brocock rifles that would fit the bill, especially on the weight issue, so we dropped into the shop to have a chat and see what else could be suitable. Fatal. We were shown the FX T12 Whisper and she fell in love with it. Initially it was a case of waiting for the Brococks to come in and make a comparison and choice.
Ok, I finally gave in and today we purchased the FX T12 with air bottle for charging etc etc, and we will most likely be winding up with two pre-charged rifles – well we are skiing AND it is Pauline’s burpday in a couple of weeks . . .
