Adiós Blip Day
I really look forward to a brand new blip day! This one has not been good. The plan was perfect! Eva's son, Nil, had a football match with the school team. That's almost one hour to get a good action shot. The match was cancelled due to a wet and slippery surface...
Next, we went to a shopping centre to get a few essentials. There I spotted a security guard who was wearing the most amusing uniform. It had kind of a "Police Academy" look, and was two sizes too big... I went to a central spot to see if my subject would turn up... He did, and I got my camera in position, and I pushed the release button... Na-da... I had forgotten to turn on the release button on the battery grip. What happened next? Well, my security guard friend spotted ME, and came over immediately, only to tell me that taking pictures was prohibited at the shopping centre. I shared with him my opinions about that particular rule, and he actually agreed, but a rule is a rule... so no blip. (He was a nice chap actually)!
The rest of the day was spend with my in-laws around the dining table, and what you see here is a desperate last minute blip from a local Argentine restaurant, owned by ex-tennis player Alex Corretja, once ranked No. 2 in the World.
