Frank McNamara
This is Frank McNamara playing the keyboard. And just who is Frank McNamara, do I hear you ask? Well, Frank is one of Ireland's most popular entertainers, a familiar face on television and concert hall alike. So, what is he doing playing for free in one of Dublin's largest shopping malls?
Well, in this week when the government promised yet again, in a saga which has been going on for years, that they will be spending 650 million Euro on a new national children's hospital, Frank was out collecting odd change for a wonderful children's hospital which has been in business for years. Temple Street is a facility where the doctors once saved my sisters life when she was admitted with an appendix which ruptured as the surgeon operated.
I guess Frank will have a lot of playing to do. Despite the promise of 65o million, it's quite clear that the government simply haven't got that sort of money available. We expect the saga to rumble on for a long time yet.
I was in Dublin hunting for a camera to replace the one which is currently in the possession of some person in France. Plumped for a Canon EOS 60D in the end. Demo model at the price of a secondhand camera. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll explain the story behind that one. In the meantime I really must rest my eyes which are stinging because of the shingles. See you tomorrow.
