Meadowsweet
After work today I headed straight homeward via my local shopping centre for some shopping for the weekend before grabbing the camera for my customary Thursday evening walk. Shopping done, I dropped off at the local nature reserve, Shepherd Meadows, and walked up the Blackwater River to the balancing pond at Sandhurst, looking remarkedly full given the current weather, and back.
As you would expect, there was an abundance of wild flowers and busy insects along the route, but this ladybird crawling around the fluffy flowers of Meadowsweet (as I later found out) caught my eye as a great example for Miranda1008's Wild Flower Week.
