Lord Mayor's Show Horse Bottoms

I was feeling a little tired and lazy this morning, just casually staring at the television and I noticed the Lord Mayor's Show was going to be on at 10.45 a.m. I'd completely forgotten about it and usually go along there to watch the procession to try to get a photo or two. I got ready extremely quickly, but managed to leave the house washed, dressed and wearing shoes and not slippers.

I took this photo as they were waiting to join the procession. I watched about three quarters of the procession on Cheapside, then decided I was in need of a greedy 'festive beverage' so decided to pop into Costa where I got a window seat so could still see it (well..heads, big furry busbys and tall floats behind the crowds!) A non-diet Praline and Cream Latte this time, but I walked it off by walking all the way home along the river from the South Bank and back to Greenwich!

It's the first time I've ever walked back home from the City. It was quite a long walk, but I enjoyed it, as there was a beautiful sunset..apart from the last bit when it had got dark and I walked through dreary Deptford along the main road. I don't think I'll be moving from the sofa this evening though.
