IAAF World U20 Championships Tampere 2018

More than 1400 athletes from almost 150 countries are competing In Ratina Stadium at the IAAF World U20 Championships Tampere 2018 (10-15 July). Me, hubby and Emma were watching championships in the evening with Juha, Anssi and Siru.

Finland got one medal tonight, Helena Leveelahti won silver in the discus, she smashed the national U20 record on home soil with 56.80m. In the picture girls are running 400 m hurdles semi final, a Finn Viivi Lehikoinen is one of the runners. 

I must confess I got a bit bored (we were there over three hours), and it didn't help there wasn't much room for my tall legs. However, great experience to see very well organised world championships!
