Plenty of thatch.
Hubby and I drove to Higher Bockhampton and did a circular 5 mile walk taking in Lower Bockhampton and Stinsford. The weather was a lot cooler so the walk was a lot more enjoyable and lovely- Fields are very brown, loads of swans about and I saw 2 deer running across the fields.
Came across Thatchers ,and with their kind permission, managed to get some good pictures. I opted for this one as the sun was hitting the straw ,his face and hat and just a tinge of light on the scaffolding. I am learning Crispin25.
Stinsford is where Thomas Hardy's family are buried. We did not go into Hardy's cottage as we have been so many times before. Preferred a cuppa and Dorset apple cake.
The saga of the unopened flower continues!!!
