Day out with the museum members.
We started on a steam train on the Watercress Line from Arlesford to Alton (see extras). Then on the coach again to Laverstoke Mill, an old paper mill on the river Test, now home to the Bombay Sapphire distillery. Though a working plant, they have made the site a tourist attraction, beautifully maintained, with tours and not tastings but "sniffings". They use a lot of botanicals, as they call them, and you can work out which flavours you might like for your free cocktail. However I thought the bunch of mint in each glass cancelled out any/all of the more subtle flavours, but maybe that was just me.
