Pony rides and tractors

We've been over to a friends house this morning - they live on a farm and have a little pony (as well as a lot of tractors).  

Both the boys had a go in the saddle, both loved it - the husband was most unimpressed with this news and the potential prospect that a love of ponies may have.  

The boys also had a great time exploring some of the tractors on the farm, then feeding the chickens.  I had a lovely time chatting to my friend and admiring her wonderful garden. 

We went down to Granny and Grandpa's to do the watering, the boys ate the picnic we were going to have at their house in the car on the way down there, with the youngest falling asleep mid-mouthful.
