The Day After....
So for most of you today is the day after England got knocked out of the World Cup at the semi-final stage - I'm not a football fan but I did love the way the young team played as a team without prima donnas and I did like the way they were managed. For me though it's the day after Roger Federer got knocked out of Wimbledon in a 5 set match - I so wanted him to equal Martina's record of 9 Wimbledon singles titles and am afraid we won't see him here again. He had an off-day for Roger, so it was a fair result. A cracking 5th set between Del Potro and Nadal - so exciting (watching that and the world cup at the same time!)
Updated: I changed the photo - the original is now an Extra. Late morning I went to the Keiron WIlliamson exhibition in The Gallery at Holt. He's a very talented local artist who's still only 15. You might have seen a programme on him last year - he's sometimes known as the Mini Monet. He's also got a book out which I bought. Here's his website if you'd like to see some of his work http://www.kieronwilliamson.com/
Diary
My replacement toilet pan and bathscreen were due to arrive today from the company supplying B&Q. The bathscreen turned up on its own in their van that they only send to this area once a week. I chased up the other item which arrived about an hour later in two boxes via Parcelforce - explain that one! Both wasps nests sprayed on Monday evening - the one sprayed last Friday hadn't been done correctly. Anglian Windows have taken only 8 days from calling the salesman about a replacement roofline, to getting the order agreed, survey done, in manufacture and ringing me to see if they could install it Fri/Sat (I had other things in the diary) - I gave up with Everest after the same thing had been going on for about 11 months!!!
