Visits

It's been a glorious day... cooler and much more comfortable than it has been recently.  I spent the morning doing boring domestic stuff and then went out painting with a friend locally... always makes a good day!!  This evening l went with the garden group to a beautiful private garden for a private tour with the head gardener... it was totally stunning and a lovely evening for a glass of wine in a beautiful spot.  The photo is of eryngium en masse... such a beautiful plant and wonderful for bees.. as you can see!!  It was planted close to a large clump of helenium and in other parts of the garden it was next to red day lilies.. and looked fabulous!
We carried on to have a very jolly girlie evening with supper in a friends garden listning to the football going on in the garden next door.  None of us remotely interested in the football but we were all keen to know the final score.. sorry all who are keen supporters.. it's a huge shame but we did at least get in to the semi final which by all accounts was a jolly good effort!!!
