CD arrived by post today

from South Africa via Kent.
In 2014 we drove from Cape town along the Garden route to stay in 
Oudstshoorn .

I had read online about Magic Moments a Musical evening in the home of a Singer and her musician partner.
 It sounded wonderful so I booked up.The evening  also included a typical South African meal and drinks.

The guy ( Barry) came to pick us up at the B&B .He was sitting waiting wearing a Newcastle United Football Strip. He was originally from Gateshead.
When I spoke he said.What another Geordie !!!
We had a fantastic time and they invited us the next day and also gave us a tour of the Township where Sissy had lived and we met her family.
Barry and Sissy were married in 2015 and we have kept in touch.
At the moment they are staying in Kent.
The Gospel CD is an idea Barry had a year ago.
The Aunties as  Sissy calls them out of respect are members of choirs but have no experience as lead singers.They are very enthusiastic.
 Their total age is 357 the eldest being 87.
Barry accompanies them on keyboard.
That evening was one of the most memorable events of my life.
Hearing Pavorotti sing was close ;)
