Hop on over for a nibble!

Dear Diary,

Our temperatures have inched their way back up and still no rain.  Wild fires now become a growing concern around here but all that is far from Horatio's mind as he calmly nibbles on the clover in the backyard.  You would think with all these hot temperatures and lack of rain it would be all dried up and brown but not so, at least for now.

These are what we use to call the lazy days of summer.  A good book and a glass of iced tea on the porch seems to be the extent of my activity lately.  That and watching Horatio and all my other friends go about their quiet and gentle lives.  A very relaxing lifestyle I live here.  I do plan a little adventure next week but for now the porch is beckoning...
