A Last-Minute Appearance

I foolishly had looked at the weather forecast for this area - sun from mid-morning until dusk - hurray!

I walked into town for a coffee in my favouried café, a little irritated at needing the hood up on my rainjacket. I took a bunch of pics here and there, the light levels really low and washing out most of the colour. After a lovely cappuccino while doing a few surreptitous sketches of other customers, it was lunchtime - still no sun.

Then at home had three lots of sports going at once;- Federer v Del Potro tennis on the Kindle Fire, Wales v Argentina rugby on BBC1 and Northampton Saints v Harlequins rugby on local radio. A bit of a headbanger trying to focus on three sports events at once!

At 16.45 as the light was fading, the clouds miraculously parted just in time for this beautiful sunset before darkness fell. I am glad the sun finally put in an appearance - if only for five minutes!
