Very pleased to be given some cherry yesterday, felled on Saturday, turned today. Thanks Bryan. There's some lovely heartwood through the centre and so turning it when it's still wet makes life a lot easier. Given a bit of time it'll become as hard as iron. Not sure if it'll keep its shape, crack, split or warp, but it's worth trying.
