Self indulgent nostalgic sentimentality rules my day, as I watched on TV the full fly past cruise over London, to commemorate 100 years of the Royal Air Force, I found I couldn't resist taking this snap of the TV screen, with my Dad, aged 18, an RAF signals operator during his National Service (1947+).  Earlier I'd stood in the garden hoping to see the flypast go over Chelmsford, but all I managed was three craft in the distance between the roof tops.
