Weeping ash and yellow-green gingko

In the Linda Vista Gardens in Abergavenny, the ash weeps for the fate of its kind, its leaves mostly gone, while next to it, a gingko, one of the oldest species of tree, unchanged from prehistoric times, is still a vivid yellow-green.

I'm sure this weeping ash is unaffected by ash dieback, but it is a symbol. The gingko's leaves will shortly turn completely yellow and fall in a very short interval of time (1-15 days), but it hasn't started yet. It may be wet, but we're having a good long Autumn for colour in the trees this year.
