Looking out across the Hampden Valley - July

It’s interesting to notice what is different and what has changed and what hasn’t.  Then all the trees were splendid with their leaves and the corn was green.  Now the corn has ripened, but despite the heat and lack of rain, the trees are still green and abundantly full of leaves.
 
I wonder what it will be like when I get back from France towards the end of August?
