Day One

The organisers have decided to use the same car park for all 5 days. Today there was a choice of bus or walk. We decided on a walk and were pleased we did. Lots of interest and avoided a hot sticky bus ride.

We walked at the side of narrow gauge railway and via a swimming lake.....must take my swimming togs tomorrow! Pictured in the main. We encountered these youngsters with their ‘Orienteering ‘ themed bags - see extra. They had been designed by the young lady balancing on the right hand rail and made by Mum. Had a touch of bag envy!

A long hot course with some long legs offering route choice. So glad we are early starters on each day. Quite pleased with my run although I did make a couple of mistakes and finished in fourth place.

A quick turn round with kit being washed and limbs rested for another early start. Thanks for you comments from yesterday.
