Troon

Back blip - and then some!

Our Ramblers group had its annual outing to Troon on Tuesday and were blessed with extremely good weather. A bus took us from Cumbernauld down to the Clyde coast, where we had a short (about 6 - 7km) along the beach, across the golf course, along part of the Smugglers Trail to Fullarton Park, where we had a short stop for refreshments.

We had arranged for the bus to meet us about a mile or so further on, to prevent us walking along the side of a main road back into town, and that dropped us off once more in the town centre. Time for some shopping, a bite of lunch, a wee wander, some ice cream before, later in the afternoon, our return to Cumbernauld.
