Lily Pads
A buggy walk this morning around the conservation area. The pond lilies were pretty, but far from the shore. It was cool in the morning air so very enjoyable. And the walk may have been a prelude to the event later in the day. Though I didn't actually see them, the frogs and turtles were active.
This afternoon a friend and I went to the Art Museum for a talk between David Carroll, a naturalist and author/illustrator of books mostly about turtles and a man who has spent his life studying Henry David Thoreau. Just mostly their conversation and then some questions from the audience. It was actually quite interesting as to how they each had come to their life's work and that they were able to make a living from it.
