Some of the Burnet moths’ favourite plants are blue Viper’s bugloss with many enjoying them in sheltered areas while the striped yellow and black Cinnabar moth caterpillars quickly denude ragwort.  Butterflies are seldom still long enough for me to get a good photo but I managed to zoom in on one and although it’s not clear I think it might be a Small Skipper which are not common here just now.
