Hydrangea

A lovely day today. Morning church then a church picnic in a local park. Tons of hot sunshine and a pleasant time including Pimms :)
A prayer meeting in the early evening, a quick dinner then bye bye to a lovely house guest who joined us for the weekend.

When we moved to our new house late last year, there were several garden pots left behind by the previous owner, one of which is a huge terracotta one containing what looked like a load of twigs.

It showed signs of life and transformed into a luscious hydrangea. Fortunately, someone told me that they like lots of water. Happy not to have killed it off. It's looking great now and coming into flower.
