Something Fishy

Metro is a German supermarket chain and operates in many large cities in China (as do WalMart, Tesco and Carrefour). Like most overseas businesses in China it adapts itself to the local market so you can find live crabs, turtles and other such critters in the fish section while chicken feet, duck neck and offal of all descripti0ons are sold in the meat section.

Metro is special in Nanchang though as it has the widest selection of imported goods which makes it particularly popular with the expat community here.
